SELF-IMPROVEMENT – YOUR GATEWAY TO LIVING A FULFILLING LIFE.

Chemotherapy Session

I came, I saw and I am conquering. These are the exact words that came to me during one of my chemotherapy sessions. It was surreal, yet I held on to the word of my Lord that says “ Do men imagine that they will be left (at ease) because they say, We believe, and will not be tested with affliction? Q29: 2

Some trials prove that you have what it takes to carry out tasks that you might have been putting off for so long in the name of fear or whatsoever it is that is stopping you. Today I am giving myself permission to reset, re-align, re-ignite, and restart the journey I have put off for so long.

LET ME RE-INTRODUCE MYSELF…

My name is Nafisah Bank-Olemoh, I am a Transformational Coach and a Self-Improvement Enthusiast, cheering women of color on to move from settling to thriving.

I am a striving Muslimah, a wife, mom and my most recent title is COLON CANCER survivor.

I am very passionate about helping myself and others improve our lives so we can improve, relationships, health, finances, and every other area of our lives.

I have been on the self-improvement journey for over 14 years, still falling short but definitely not where I used to be

Self-improvement has helped me improve relationships, and do away with people and things that no longer serve me, it has helped me improve my mindset thinking and …

It got better when I got the proper foundation which is Faith – building a relationship with God.

SELF-IMPROVEMENT IN A NUTSHELL

To change what you don’t like in certain areas of your life you have to work on improving yourself.

Being an entrepreneur, a career professional, a better mom, a better employee, or whatever level of professionalism you intend to excel in, requires some level of self-improvement.

Understanding that you will get to work with others who are also coming from different backgrounds, experiences, and ethnicities requires that you are self-aware and open-minded so as not to have challenges excelling in your field of choice.

To serve others you need to be sure you have served yourself well enough, as you can never pour from an empty cup.

To be a support system for your family, you need to understand what to unlearn, learn and relearn to show up for yourself and them.

To be in the spotlight and shine bright using the gifts God has given you, then you have to be well-equipped with tools and tips that will support you through the journey.

It starts with as little as reading a new book, taking a course, trying something new, and setting little goals to mention a few.

WHAT SELF-IMPROVEMENT DOES FOR YOU.

Self-improvement helps you have an open mind so you are willing to learn ways to do better in areas that matter most to you

It makes it easier to build habits that will help you set and reach goals.

It helps you heal from past mistakes, unhealthy relationships, and things that have hindered you from living your best life.

It helps you live a happier and more fulfilling life.

It pushes you to make timely decisions and helps you with problem-solving.

Just to mention a few, but one thing I strongly believe is when you are intentional about self-improvement you get a return on investment for every area of your life that you set to make a change.
